If it is on left side of green area, then next spin will be green as well.
If it is on far right side of green arrow, then next spin most likely to land on orange.
This strategy works for me 90% of the time, and I win, win, win.
I usually get 4-5 green spins , the 1-2 orange spins, then back to green.
Generally, I balance how much I bet based on how much I've won. Am I below 1000? I'll only bet 100. Am I over 1000? Okay, try 200. Etc, etc.
At most, I only end up spending a maximum of 500 gold to earn enough Star tokens for all the items in the prize exchange, even without playing the fishing minigame nor Wheel of Fortune to get them, and in some cases, without setting up a grange display.
I've usually done some farming chores prior to going to the Fair, so ... it would be a bit tedious to reload, and I tend to be a bit on the conservative side when betting (as a result).
Buying a lot is supposed to be one of the good strategies. My mother played a lot of Monopoly when she was little (with two older sisters), and she always used to tell me to do just that when playing. Buy early, dominate as much of the board as you can.
