Museum and Gunther doesnt seem to work

This is now getting very frustrating. The first item i donated to the museum worked but I have donated 5 since and each time Gunther has said I do not have anything to donate and I had better get out there hunting!! Why is this? Each item tells me to take to the museum as Gunther will tell me more about them. I donate each and when I speak to Gunther I get nothing. Any ideas as to why?

Are you actually talking to Gunther across the counter with your hands empty and choosing the dialog option to donate an item, or are you holding it up in your hands and gifting it to him?

Choosing the dialogue option to donate. Is that wrong? Am I supposed to gift to him?

No you walk up empty handed and then choose donate.

You don't always recieve a prize for every donation though.

Do you get to place each item on tables? You don't get a gift for every item you donate.

Uh, when it says donate it to the museum to learn more about it, it doesn't neccesarily mean Gunther himself will tell you, unfortunately. Rather, go to where you decided you would place the artifact you donated to the museum and right click on it. A text box should pop up, and it will tell you a bit about the item.

I'm a little disappointed you cannot directly take to Gunther and perhaps become his friend... Anyways, I hope what I said helps you out.
