Shane's post-marriage room and arc

I know it's been discussed a lot that marrying Shane seems to almost undo his progress from the heart events, as his room is a tip with beer cans everywhere and he mentions in everyday conversation about getting a drink. Maybe in a future update we could have a canon fix for that from CA, and not just a mod that will tidy up his room?

I'd love to see Shane disappear for a few hours one day a week, as some of the spouses do when they have jobs, but mention instead that he's going to Zuzu City to continue his counselling. That way his problems aren't just instantly fixed and forgotten, but he's shown to be making an effort and some progress. I wanted to marry Shane before 1.1 but since finding out about how he is post-marriage, I'm on the fence about going for him as a spouse. I know some people say it's realistic because he's not magically going to get better and stop drinking in one go, but I'd rather see him keep trying after marriage. And keep his room tidy.

It does not, but I guess if I ever want to make him suffer, that'll be the way to go!

I only give him the first beer and last beer of fall and winter, or when something good happens. Because drinking should only be used for celebrations and good times. Which I guess that's why it's okay for him to drink on Fridays. End of week for some calls for a celebration right? Chocolate is for sad times, or for his case, peppers.

It would be great if his behavior had changed after the heart event when he decides to go to consoling as well. However, I don't know if any of the other bachelors or bachelorettes do something similar or not. For example, does Sam leave certain nights to go do concerts? Would Leah leave to do art shows? Does Alex get a career in Grid ball? Things like that you know? If they don't, then it feels like Shane was given a little more effort. I actually like that he's home a lot. Makes me him look like a stay at home dad. x D

There's absolutely nothing wrong with having a drink. It helps him relax. It gives him a reason to go to his old hangout, the Saloon.

It's when you drink alone and pass out in the woods that it's a problem.
