Question about the new Junimo Hut Building
Does it work with collecting honey from beehives and/or sap from trees or is it just plain crops?

you could try it out if you already have a Junimo Hut :^)
I don't have it, that's why I'm asking. I'm trying to decide how to layout/build my farm and I was hoping maybe someone already knew the answer lol
dang, i wanted to know too xD
but overall, i believe the Junimo Hut only harvests Crops and maybe even Seasonal Forageables, seeing how they can be planted. Don't really think it applies to Artisan Goods, but it be neat if it did
I planted winter seeds and the Junimos didn't harvest them. It may be because a) it was winter and b) winter seed crops are classed as forage not crops.
Pretty sure it's only crops. I don't think you'd want to, anyway, since they also harvest nearby flowers? Unless you're just doing wild honey for mead or whatever.

Imagine a poor Junimo being attacked by bees. :(
I have six huts working on my farm in range of beehives and I can tell you for crtain that they only harvest crops- but the good news here is, they can /walk through trellises/. So long as you don't block off the door of the hut, once they exit their cozy abode they can harvest a solid block of hops, grapes, whatever suits your fancy that you'd otherwise have to space out to get to.

Just make sure you spend enough of the gameday awake to let the little fellas do their work.

*The range of the Junimo Huts' harvesting reach is a square extending eight tiles from the 'door' tile of the hut

Well, you could test with other season seeds, but it's not like there's much point to planting wild seeds en masse that late in the game anyway- unless you're trying to train foraging which means you gotta pick'em yourself anyway.

It'd be a cool upgrade if the junimo hut didn't require waiting around for them to harvest stuff, though. How fast/slow are they anyway? I haven't built one yet since I'm nowhere near Summer to get the starfruits.

Nope, it's because they aren't regular crops.

Did this during last fall and they didn't touch a single one.

That is very good to know.

Thanks everyone! I shall take all of this into consideration with deciding how to layout my farm :)

Thanks Charlotte - I didn't know that about the Junimos being able to walk through vines. I never bother with vines because of their layout but this will make a difference. :steamhappy:
They only harvest farm crops. No artisan goods (honey) trees, forage, grass, etc... They don't come out in the winter or in the rain. Here's the layout I use (the middle part I put some beehouses, but keep 2 tiles clear either direction for your horse)
