HM Back to Nature was basically HM64 ver 2.
It enhanced a lot of the gameplay, such as adding a quick menu to quickly change tools and items without having to slowly load the entire menu, as HM64 did.
It even used the same characters as 64, though everyone's relationships were changed around. (Such as Basil now being Maria/Mary's father, instead of being Popuri's father. Or Jeff not being Elli's love interest now, but is now Karen's father)

Yeah, Stardew Valley feels more streamlined, and I like the fact you can customize the land however you want (you can put those silos and barns where YOU want them, rather than pre-set locations).
What's more, I believe you can even modify the rest of the world, such as putting statues in town, or putting chests where you need them.
Animal crossing is a different game entirely that focus on a more casual playstyle. Its something you add to your daily routine and fits a good 30 minute to an hour time block. Any more time and youl start having issues with not really having much to do except grind for money.
Stardew Valley and harvest moon are both a bit more intence in that if you get into the game it can very well eat your whole afternoon.
There is also Story of Seasons which deserves a little explanation. SoS is waht Harvest moon became after Nasume decided to do their own localization work, but the localization team that used to do the western translations retained the rights to the name "Harvest moon"
Harvest moon today is ever so slightly different than what it used to be and its slow to try new things.
Story of Seasons is true to the origional spirit of Harvest moon's origins and still manages to try new concepts sucessfully.
Meanwhile Stardew Valley, as mentioned earlier, stole Nasume's Lunch money by also recreating that Origonal Harvest moon feel and did pretty much everything better in every way. Though I would say the fishing can get frustrating sometimes.
In my personal opinion there all good games. But if i had to order them from most like to least... Stardew Valley > Story of Seasons/Old Harvest moon > Animal Crossing > New harvest Moon.
And as much as I praise Trio of towns Eseed still got nothing for PC players far as I know, no story, no runefactory...
Stardew valley was thier own fault for leaving PC players up a creek without a paddle for over 20-30 years unless I'm mistaken.
Pokemon is just as bad, they proved they could do it with a money hungry mobile ap. But still nothing for PC.
It is kinda supprising that nobody picked up untill now on the glaring gap in the PC market for a Harvest Moon Esque game. But thena gain, had it happen sooner i would still be saying the same thing then.
I only mentioned the Nasume statement as a way to show that the people who essentially created and dominated this genre more or less publicly stated that Stardew Did better what they had been doing for years dispite still under development.
Pokemon Go Isnt that money hungry. While yes there are things that you can buy that will make your life easier they wont make it THAT much eaiser. Some items in the shop are never bought because you get everything you need from stops. Aside from that you can get the ingame currency without paying a cent with minimal effort and no ad watching just by playing the game. Course if your in a bad location it definatly does suck but you can blame the Ingress data for that and it is being steadily improved upon.
As for the PC Pokemon game. Just use an emulator. Aside from that Poekmon is Nintendo's IP, why WOULD they release games for a competing gaming platform.
Just some things disagree with me and it ends up spoil my whole thing.
I'm sorry that it ends up like this, this game got a lot of good fans still though :)
Later on you can grow coffee so you always have a faster move speed.
Nothing to be sorry for, you asked for some personalised reccomendations reguarding this game and other similar games. You gave it an honest try based on thoes reccomendations and didnt find it to your liking. No harm no foul, thats what steams refund policy was made for.
Just some design choices... I didn't really say what it was because it makes me feel petty but it does affect me quite a lot so... yeah.
There are mods too if its something like the overly bright colors, they have tonned down color mods.
Considering I was planning to grab it for Switch... have to try it without mods.
It's mainly the combination of the Journal system really feels sucky, as well as the fact that no "what button does what" on the starting point, and it really feels clunky for me.
(Yes it's petty reasons, I'm sorry)
You really don't use the journal much. You get some quests the first 3 years and thats about it. Unless you take up a daily task that aren't worth it really unless your going for an achivement.
