How do you guys use those Stardew emoticons on here?

I've seen in the discussion board here people using a little chicken or stardrop. When I hover over it it says something like :stardrop: but the emoticon doesn't show up for me. Is it connected to a badge or something? I still can't manage to get one because I don't have enough trading cards or whatever lol. I just wanna use the cute little stardrop!

You need to buy them with the Steam points you earn either through community awards or with every Steam purchase. You can do so from the Points Shop page on the storefront's main page and going into the emoticons section. You'll be able to purchase the emoticons from there. Once done, you should be able to use them yourself.
