There's only one way to farm Quartz: run through the Mines as quickly as you can and grab it when you see it. If you've got Crystalariums running you can also use them to make more while you're farming it.

Quartz isn't very useful, though. If you need Refined Quartz you can get it from junk.

I need quartz to make a ♥♥♥♥ lot sprinklers, Also I do have 2 Crystalariums but they're currently producing diamonds is there a way to stop the process while they're working or do I have to wait untill their production is over?

Aside from straight going through the mine every day which can be tedious and slow. It may be subjective, but I usually find the most quarts between levels 40-60. The best non-mining method way is to use Crystalariums. They will develop your quartz over a couple days, however you will need quite a few of these rather expensive devices to make it "worth while". Otherwise it's just not worth it. If you are doing refined quarts refer to red255's suggestion

Then you need Refined Quartz. Quartz is one way to get it but it's not the only way.

I usually get at least two dozen Quartz running through the Mines normally (initial 1 to 90 progression), and about the same amount of Refined Quarz by recycling junk. That's enough for 40+ Quality Sprinklers without any targeted farming, after which it's generally easy enough to convert to Iridium.

If you don't have access to Iridium or Krobus and you want more Quality Sprinklers, the Mines are really your best bet (unless you have tons of Crab Pots, which would be less time invested).

I wouldn't bother using Crystalariums if you only have two. It's just too slow and you'd be wasting a couple Diamonds. But if you really want to, I think you can simply put the Quartz in there and it'll replace the Diamonds. If not you can probably just pick up the device and put it back down, it won't be producing anything and will accept minerals again.

How does this recycling junk thing works? it's the first time i'm hearing about it, and also I'm having the hardest time farming Iridium, they're extremely rare even in Desert Mines (I can't farm easily in Desert Mines either, Enemies are way out of my league)

you get fishing trash you put it in the recycler, stuff comes out.

Broken CD and Glasses become refined quartz.

the driftwood and trash trash become wood/stone/coal

easiest way to get bulk trash is to get a ton of fishing traps from willy for 1500 and throw them down, beach is fine, bait them and wait overnight. pretty sure theres space for 200 at the beach.
Wow that's a great idea, thanks for the hint man.

Recycling Machines are built from wood, stone and one bar of iron. They work very quickly so you only need two or three. They're also obtained very early in the game (Fishing level 4) so you should have unlocked them a long time ago.

If you put a Broken CD or Broken Glasses in a Recycling Machine, it will quickly turn into Refined Quartz.

Driftwood can also turn into Refined Quartz (sometimes two of them!) but it's much more rare. Other notable transformations: trash sometimes turns into Iron Ore and Soggy Newspaper rarely turns into Cloth.

Krobus sells one Iridium Sprinkler every Friday.

For the Skull Cavern, you need to bring 80+ Bombs and lots of berries as well as a dozen Staircases. Start early in the day, block Pam's way to make her go to the bus faster. In the Cavern, place Bomb in a good spot, eat berry to stop time and avoid damage, you'll get a bunch of Shafts (takes you 3 to 15 levels down) and you'll get to level 100+ where Iridium is far more common. Use staircases on levels that don't offer good bombing opportunities. Eating a Spicy Eel (increased luck and movement) helps a lot.

There's a way (not so legit) to unlock Priarie King achievements, If you really want them add me and I'll tell you. btw it's not through using SAM. I hate SAM.

Oh, and please don't feel insulted if I don't accept friend requests. Being active on various forums, I get dozens of them. I don't even know how many people my Friends List could support (I think it has something to do with Steam level?), but either way I can't possibly talk to everyone. I just clear them out once in a while.

Also I'm grumpy and antisocial.

In any case, the community benefits more from discussions being public. It's all good.

Yes, you get +5 slots for friends on ur list with each steam level u gain.
No problem buddy, antisocialism is not good and helpful in my opinion but hey respecting other people's thought must be the one thing humankind should stick to in 21st century right? :P

I totally agree with Red, going through the mines is good too. But with fishing traps you get income + trash that can be turned into good stuff. I ended up with like 250 quartz in 1 year
