Easiest way to get Squid

So, if you have the quest to get the Squid for Willy during Winter, and you cant find it no matter what your gear is or how hard you tried, I might have the easiest solution. So, as i was walking to give Abigail a Walleye that i bought from Pierre's for a quest, I misclicked on a trash can in front of Emily and Haley's house and it gave me a Squid. So, if you are having trouble with the quest, check there, or just check any trash can in town. Hope this helps.

Squid are in the ocean between 6pm-2am. They are not hard to find.

It might have been just luck if thats the case. My fishing skill is like at a 7 before i got the Squid

It's a winter fish so you'd have had three whole seasons to raise your Fishing skill first, yes. Since it's kind of hard to catch, that's a good thing.

But yes, you may have had horrible, horrible luck. The Squid is quite common, it shows up in any weather from 18:00 to 2:00. You normally woudln't have any trouble getting it hooked.
