Help! I've lost my axe!

It's been about two days in game, yesterday and today, and I can not find my axe anywhere. I have checked all of my chests, and I don't believe I left it with Clint, and I can not find the blasted thing anywhere. Worst thing is it was a golden one. I don't know if I can do anything about this. Can anyone please help?

Did you take it to Clint to be upgraded? Check all of your storage boxes.

I checked the storage boxes, and double checked with Clint. Its nowhere to be found.

Tools cannot be deleted nor sold. The axe is probably hiding in some container somewhere in the valley. :)

*Facepalm* I found it. I put it in the cellar's storage box. Of all the places.

I lost mine once and found it in a storage box in the mine.
