I have tried it myself and it works really well :>
I wish I could share a photo, but when I place quality sprinklers in my shed filled with garden pots, they don't water the garden pots. That is what I am trying to do, have automated farming in my sheds
If you really want more growing room for crops, then I suggest Elle's Spacious Greenhouse, which give a large plot and a large separate room just for trees.
This mod is pretty old, so some features may not work, but I've read that it still allows sprinklers to be used with garden pots: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/2209

Do you have any suggestions for regrowing crops that are more profitable than Strawberries? Those are by far the most profitable that I have found. Coffee beans regrow more quickly but sell for significantly less as far as I can tell.
Offhand, I know that hops are the most profitable by far if you can manage to process all of them into Pale Ale. If you don't want to do that much processing, I believe cranberries are a little more profitable than strawberries.
