You should get a mail containing the recipe for the Tea Sapling the day after.
Nope. Maybe go see her one more time with the leaves or something? Interesting if just doesn't work out now.
UPDATE: I actually was cursing too soon, the recipe came eventually. As it turns out, you can't put tea saplings in flower pot but basically everything else goes?
It's all good now fellows! Now excuse me, I have to do some research on those little white dancing men...... *sips tea*
they might try to convice you to become a Tea Oracle ;D
If you have the green house, you can plant them in the empty pots at the back of the green house.
You can also put them in the cave in still get leaves in the winter, as the cave is considered Indoors.
Wouldn't be suprised at this point! :D
I usually just mine, mine and mine the first year and by the time I get to level 6 Farming using crops that continue producing after they've grown I can just start spamming Quality Sprinklers. So yeah, no need for extra energy.
Maybe during the first day of a season when I need to till the land and manually water the seeds. But during year two I usually have high enough energy through Stardrops or good enough tools to not need energy buffs/recharges.

^Same idea, except my "slime pen" is even smaller so that I can cram even more tea saplings into mine than his screenshot shows.
Huh... Am I the only one that actually tries to breed some rare diamond slimes in a hutch? Just wondering. With addition of tiger slimes it got a bit easier, them gray-ish slimes do mostly drop stone or refined quartz, but occassionally some diamonds too.
I have to agree, tea seems like a useless food to me, except as a loved gift for a few NPC.
Personally I do prefer speed over more energy after a couple of stardrops. To be completely honest I mostly keep growing tea because I like the tea bushes xD
