I got a weird message after naming myself with the item ID >magic rock candy<

Basically after getting 4 hearts with the wizard, i named myself with the magic rock candy ID since it was really good. When i clicked ok i got a message in the chat saying >Calling all cars! Calling all cars! We've got a magic rock candy thief on the loose!< im scared that if i get out all of my progress will be deleted as ive used a cheat code does anybody actually know what will happen?

This is actually a known thing with the game. Like UT and similar games, the dev just wants to poke some fun. Its not gonna be a creepypasta or anything, and your save is fine. <3

yes I've done that several times, adding item number. And i get weird messages too, but they are there just for fun. Usually there are 2 messages, one warning you are in trouble, then one saying you are not in trouble and to have fun, something like that.

It's just the developer saying "Gotcha! I know you're cheating but it's fine"
