random items disappearing

so it's happened again. Anyone else having random items disappearing from game??
A while ago I had several tools suddenly disappear from my inventory. My axe, sword, hoe.
Then a few days ago my 3 bone mills disappeared while I played, They were there behind my shed, working, then suddenly they were gone.
I put out new bone mills, and today they disappeared again.
I have had random produce items disappear occasionally too while I am in the middle of playing -- I know because there will suddenly an empty slot in the middle of a row of items, and then the items will shift to fill the empty slot.

Anyone else have this occur since the update??

Can't say I've had that issue. Possibly a spouse or child is walking into the bone mills and destroying them? Doesn't explain stuff disappearing from inventory, but would explain things missing from the map. Maybe a mod that wasn't updated that is now behaving erratically?

yes I have the automate mod working, and the only thing connected to the bone mills is a chest containing bones and the product fertilizer.
All the disappearances happen WHILE I was playing, not on loading or during adjusting mods. The carry chests mod seems to be acting weird too, as items in the carried chest have completely vanished (everything in the chest) if I close and reopen my backpack while carrying a chest. .. This I was able to repeat ,, fortunately I didn't have a lot in the chests when it happened, just some crops or seeds.
The vanishing acts started after I update chests to new compatibility to 1.5.6, without adding any new mods.....

I put three new bone mills down again, and they are in a location not walk on by family members, tucked in behind my warehouse shed. Right where they have always been working just fine. Will see if they vanish again.
