legendary fish question!!
Hi i am still on my first playthrough. I heard an ugly rumor while watching a stream the other day. I understand that you can only catch each legendary fish once. But someone said that you only have 3 attempts to catch. Is this true? Searching for this question is really difficult. Again I am still very new so I wanted to be sure.

The legendary fish can be caught once a season, and each file can only be caught once.

if you are on a quest to catch legendary fish, you CAN catch multiples of the fish UNTIL you cant the last one required and finish the quest. It helps to have a high fishing level (13-15), and use bait for rare fish, and have high luck.

thank you!
its possible its three attempts per day. i posted bc i had high luck one day and had a legendary fish on the line 3 times in a row and i panicked a bit. it deff makes more sense that you have several chances to catch them throughout the season.
