Why is my screen mostly dark?

It was fine when I started the game, but I loaded my save, and it was as dark as this. The gui was fine.

Could be mod related. Check if the base game has it too.

I've got close to 300 mods. It's been dim lately, but not this bad.
Might be a bug with the Automate gui button? I've had that once. I'll test it tom.

My mod list:
I'm not sure how many make it though, but a few conflict due to being out of date, but not updated. Edit: mods didn't show right?

Use the SMAPI log parser if you want to upload your mod list. Trust me. You'll see once you upload your log. Then parse the link in here once your log is uploaded.

This. ALWAYS this when you have issues and have mods installed.

That said, I have a guess but I'll wait until a SMAPI log is posted.

I think it's the Ambient light mod. I'll quick test before work.

"EnableRealTime: Set to true to have Ambient Light fetch the latest condition from the back end, this allows the mod to set the type of Light in game. Set to false to not have Ambient fetch any data and therefore, use the standard Overcast light type. This setting is set to true by default"

Try turning it off. And you can update this mod. At least SMAPI tells you to.

I don't need the mod, so I disabled it, and that fixed it. Mod updates will come later.
