RIP Lost items...
Didn't realize that people walking around would break objects I put down - I almost made it a year before my Junimo statue just disappeared (it was in an area I didn't go to often), and the golden Lewis statue was removed the next day (though I thought it was just taken back when I saw it missing).

Since I've made it to the third year and don't want to re-start, is there any way to get items destroyed by NPC paths back? Or does anyone have the item ID# for these things? TBH I don't care about the gold statue as much, but the Junimo was really cute and I liked having it near my community center.

The gold statue is supposed to disappear the next day after being placed because Lewis takes it down. In this case, it would be moved to either his house or Marnie's room. You should have also received a letter in the mail about it from Lewis. This can be repeated indefinitely, but the letter will only be received the first time. It may also be possible it was deleted due to being in a villager's path though (likely what happened if you don't find it in either of the aforementioned locations).

The way I understand it, furniture items don't have normal item IDs, or they have a different type of ID. I'm not sure what this means exactly or what the implications are as far as spawning items using IDs, though I believe this means they can't be spawned using the in-game item ID methods. This page contains the only info that I could find regarding game data for the Stone Junimo and Solid Gold Lewis (55 and 164 in that list, respectively): https://stardewcommunitywiki.com/Modding:Big_craftables_data#Raw_data

There are various maps around that show NPC paths for safely placing items outside of the player farm. I can't personally vouch for their accuracy, but these ones are supposedly up-to-date as of v1.4: https://imgur.com/a/JlRXGlc

1) install smapi[www.nexusmods.com] and follow the instructions, read them carefully.
2) install CJB Item Spawner[www.nexusmods.com] and follow the instructions, read them carefully.

should allow you to re-create any items you've lost, instantly.

particularly useful if you lose a savedata and need to replace some stuffs.

Thank you both for your replies. I didn't get a letter from Lewis, though I didn't know much about the game at that point so I just thought it may be an odd occurrence. It wasn't until I tried planting a tree near a villager recently that I found out about items getting destroyed - I went to check my other decorations and (of all of them) the Junimo statue was gone from the corner I had crammed it in next to the bushes outside the center.

According to the map, looks like I put it in just the wrong square for it to get destroyed - and got really luck with one of my other items (or the paths have changed slightly) ^^' I was hoping the 'name an animal with [item#][item#][item#]' item spawning would work, but couldn't find much information on which numbers to use. Makes sense that it's a different system.

I'm usually not big on modding games (had a few bad experiences with corrupt saves), but I'll probably give it a shot.

That exploit has been fixed, AFAIK.

If you're worried about save corruption, you could just use the mod for one in-game day to give you the lost items, then remove both the mod and SMAPI afterwards and play normally. While I personally haven't encountered any corrupt saves even with extensive modding, that process should minimize any risk of the sort.

The maps are fine for most cases, and the ones attached to the Wiki have generally been updated to 1.5. There are some exceptions, though. For instance, the Beach map doesn't account for Emily's schedule change when she marries the Farmer, which cost me a few pieces of equipment that had previously been fine for years.
