How to stop slimes from escaping?

I really wanna have a huge slime farm somewhere, but I'm afraid that all of the slimes will escape faster than they can breed. Is there anyway to fix this?

another thing is, you can put slime hachers in town the slimes will not despawn and breed like crazy! trust me on that! :P

Oh, i didnt know you could build multiple slime hutches, would they be able to escape in the town? are there other places that they couldnt escape, such as the desert?

oh no i meant if you have a Slime Incubator you can put that in town and you can use the entire town works like a slime hutch!
just make sure you dont place the Slime Incubator somewere a npc walks or they destroy the items!
