Ostrich Egg accidentally cooked...and now I am too lucky to get one in the volcano dungeons!

Please help. A while back I got an ostrich egg from the journal scrape on the Volcano Island. I went back home, and accidentally cooked it (and obviously saved the game by sleeping over it). I've tried to get another ostrich egg since then by going inside the Volcano Dungeon repeatedly, but it seems that on lucky days I AM TOO LUCKY to get an ostrich egg (I already have 9 dragontooth shivs and NO EGGS WHATSOEVER! 1/27 chance for the drop) and on average days rare chests don't appear! Ostrich Eggs aren't even that rare! They should be a 1/9 drop!

Do you have any advice?

"Ostrich Eggs arent that rare"?????????????????????? are we talking about the same game? because the only eggs i ever seen are the one from the note and the ones my ostrich layed after that. never seen them as an drop.

You can download CJ cheat menu and gve yourself an egg then remove the mod. Its not quite as simple as 1/9 as there are different loot pools, its 1/9 for the pool its in. See the wiki for more info. I only ever had 2 drop in about 50 dungeon runs

Have you try using the spawning item code cheat to get it?

You can go to Marine's Ranch and buy an animal. (chickens are the cheapest) When you about to name the animal, you input the code [289] then press ok. If done right, you should have the Ostrich Egg in you inventory.

I haven't try it out outside getting a Tea set but I look it up and that was the code the egg is under. I'm not completely sure if it's even usable this way either. . . But maybe it's worth a shot?

make sure you have all the requirements for the CJB mod, You have to have SMAPI first to get ANY mod to work.

I like how the game's rng is so bad everyone is just giving tips on how to cheat past it. Actually I don't like it because grinding day after day for rare drops is NOT FUN.

I don't think it's that bad. But when you have accidents like this it can be really frustrating since them eggs are not super easy to come by. Same when you accidentally turns one of the legendary fishies into Sashimi @.@ We've all been there and you can normally only catch one of those during a playthrough.

I prefer to look at the item spawner as a recovery service
