How to zoom out my game

I've played this game since it's launch on Xbox and I've seen hundreds of videos of the game on PC and they're all fine, some PC videos feature an even more zoomed out game than when I was on console. But when I decided to get the game myself it's incredibly zoomed in, so much so that the file select menu is literally cut off because of how zoomed in it is. Once I'm playing the game, the zoom out options in the setting menu do basically nothing lol. What should I do?

It sounds like the game is set to the wrong resolution for your monitor. I would try the following, in order:
- adjust the resolution in the options menu
- switch to Windowed Borderless or Fullscreen window modes in the options menu
- delete the startup_preferences file in %AppData%\StardewValley (Windows only; equivalent location on Mac or Linux can be found here: https://stardewvalleywiki.com/Saves#Find_your_save_files )
