Multiple Pets in Multiplayer? More than 1 pet possible?

I tried looking through the latest patch notes for anything about each player getting their own pet or pet bowl so each player can have a pet, but didn't see anything. I see each player gets access to their own basement and spouse porch, but no mention about multiple pets. Is it possible to have more than just one dog or cat now?

Nope. But it's everyone's pet. On Four Corners, the pet bowl is right in between the 4 farms. On a normal map, the dog will sometimes sleep in different cabins every night, so nobody feels left out.

The option to get both a cat and dog would be great, though. There's probably a mod for this if you don't mind mods.
