HELP! No audio using SMAPI, no error messages, restarting/headphones useless (Edit:I SOLVED IT!)
I've been able to mute my laptop just fine before, but nothing is working since I hit the button on it. All other audio is working on my laptop. I haven't installed any other mods since it happened & everything was working fine before, all audio is on in the game at the normal levels, tried using headphones, I've been running the game as an administrator for awhile now, tried muting/un-muting by using the in game music note & settings, tried the same using my laptop mute button, tried adjusting the game's & my laptop/s volume, restarted PC, I've never received an error message from SMAPI that it couldn't load the volume, & I've tried running from steam. Nothing! Windows 10, all latest versions of everything. Please help...I don't know what to do.Edit: tried debug commands: debug playsound (didn't work.) debug playmusic (didn't work.)

Im running vanilla stardew and I've got no sound what so ever too.

I restart lots of times and if I'm lucky it comes back, but next time I want to play it's gone again. Seen a few people getting the same audio problems

I FIGURED IT OUT GUYS!!! A HA! YES YES YES YES! OK! SO...Here's what your going to do....I also validated the integrity of the files just to be safe. Every everything was ok...nothing was wrong, logged out of steam, restarted my laptop again because it said it had some updates....that didn't do it. BUT.....after I logged back into steam, and ran the game, pressed the windows key (to pull up the task bar while I was in the game. If you press it again in the game it makes the task bar vanish with some setting adjustments!) I searched for "Volume Mixer" in the windows search bar. It should be one of the settings. Click it. Now, MOVE THE SLIDERS ON STEAM AND STARDEW VALLEY, WHICH EVER ONE YOU USE/ISN"T WORKING! Sound turned on IMMEDIATELY! Notice if the little speaker to the left of the slider has an x in front of it after moving it. If you move the sliders and supposedly working, you SHOULD see sound waves, instead of the x, and hopefully your volume is on and you'll hear the sound! I hope I was able to help someone!

I had the same problem, and I think I fixed it by playing in windowed mode instead of fullscreen.
