multiplayer not working on Mac

how did you get this to work? what did you do with hamachi? please help do i have to make a network pls help

yes u have to make a network and have the person ur trying to play with join tht network in hamachi, and then use that ip to connect to the LAN server through stardew. u have to be connected the entire time

i am stupid but my beautiful wonderful amazing smart bf used vpn.net / hamachi or whateeever so we could use the LAN thngy and just put in the IP address and it worked 4 us ^_ ^ we r long distance but it still worked ssince we were technically on the same network or something idk BUT he said dont use it with suspicious ppl .

So, everyone over to the client beta board to make a stink!
To do this: go to "steam" in the menu bar -> "settings" -> under the "account" heading look for where it says beta participation and there's a tiny underlined "report a bug" link. Good luck!

My friend too has this problem, but we temporary fixed it by playing with Hamachi. It worked wonders, although I heard you should do this with someone you trusted

Edit: don't forget to turn off firewall with Hamachi

I'm having this same problem as well! I hadn't updated my mac from Big Sur as yet, tried to join a multiplayer game and nothing worked. After I updated to 11.4 it still isn't working :(

Yup this is happening for my brother and I too - I tried restarting the application, computers, and turning off/on the firewall with no help.
