cursor jumps in chests?

When using keyboard and mouse to play this game, I''m having this issue: when moving items back and forth between my inventory and a chest, each time I click to move an item, the cursor jumps back to the other chest. Unless I move one item back and forth, then the cursor behaves normally until I close the chest. But then I have the same problem again next time I open any chest.

It's extremely annoying, as I can't even get use to one way of doing it since if I start moving items back and forth, it changes.

Has anyone else seen this issue? Any suggestions on a workaround or maybe like a key I can press to change this behavior? I know sometimes there are keyboard shortcuts. Thanks.

Have you ever had a videogame controller connected? It sounds like both the mouse and something else are "competing" for control.

I had this happen when I had a controller plugged in, and the game wanted to use that.

okay, yes. I used to use a controller but I injured/strained my wrist so was trying to use keyboard temporarily instead.

I will try disconnecting my controller, restarting the PC, and making sure the settings are set to default to controller. Thanks!

I was able to fix it, by going to the settings: Options> Gamepad Mode: auto-detect. Previously it had been set to "force on."

I also disconnected the gamepad, but it didn't work properly until I also changed that setting. Thanks again

I'm currently having this same issue. I play with a controller, and I've had gamepad mode set to auto detect and it's still happening. I have tried setting it to force on, still happens. Idk what to do but it's driving me mad
