Tilapia impossible to catch

I spent the last 7 days in game trying to complete Aquatic Overpopulation and catch 10 Tilapia within those days. I caught everything including my first legend fish the Crimson Fish and only managed to catch 9/10 Tilapia. I just finished the 7th day passing out at 2am.

Am I the only one to have experienced this issue? I'm actually bummed I put so much time into it and only ended up with too many fish but the ones I needed.

if you play single jsut restart day until RNG will play to your favor imho getting at least 5 in single day should be nothing special... but ye, RNG is RNG:p

Silly question, but what is your fishing set up?
With higher fishing skill level, a decent rod that can have bait & tackle & a fishing buff from food (dish of the sea for example) on a lucky day, I've found Tilapias fairly easy compared to other fish to catch.

If you are already doing that, then I can only suggest trying a different fishing spot, or waiting for RNG to play nice for a change.

I noticed you mention that you passed out at 2am, suggesting that you are fishing for the Tilapia all day. But the fish is really just a morning/mid-day fish. You can no longer catch it after 2pm in the afternoon.

I feel quite silly. I read the wiki page as 2am and could not figure out why I was getting only pufferfish and halibut after a certain time. I posted this at 4am real life time and I was too tired to be playing the game anymore haha.
