Sell legendary fish?
I just got the crimson fish, should I sell it, or keep it or what? It seems to have no purpose so probably sell. But should I keep it in a chest as trophy you think?

I've put all of the legendary fish in a fish tank

You can put it in a fish tank, eat it, cook it, sell it and I think the person above suggests putting it on a table like a display item.

Each legendary fish only appears once on each save, and there are currently no extra special benefits for eating them. I'd keep it.

That way, if a future update does provide a special benefit for having the legendary fish, and doesn't provide a way to catch them again, you still have it.

I actually think selling the Crimsonfish can be worth it. If you catch it early in the season, it can buy you more summer seeds and make a difference. Not a great difference, perhaps, but a difference nonetheless. I generally like to hoard them, however.

Oddly enough, because the point system used at the Fair is poorly balanced, legendary fish are not that great there because they're generally not Iridium-quality (they jump out of the fishing bar too quickly to reliably get them in Iridium). It's crazy but even a garbage fish like an Iridium Carp is worth as much as a Gold Legend! And plenty of trash fish (Iridium Bream, for example) are actually worth more. A simple Iridium Flounder will net you max points, it's worth 33% more points than a Gold Legend despite being far less valuable and far easier to catch.

You'd have to catch the legendary fish Perfectly (which is a big challenge) or, now that it's supposedly been fixed, use a Quality Bobber. Unfortunately the Quality Bobber recipe is gated behind both time (you can't get it before Autumn) and luck (the right request has to appear on the board). You'd have already caught the Legend and Crimsonfish by then unless you purposefully decided to delay by a whole year.

Magic Bait could potentially get you all the fish once you have the recipe, but with such a high number of possible catches it must be a nightmare to get legendary fish to bite.

There are better options for the Luau soup, too.

The reality is, the legendary fish have high value as collectibles (they are unique) or vendor trash (they sell for a lot), but otherwise have virtually no use.

Since you only get one of each per save personally i'd keep them and put them in a tank
make sushi:)

But ye, currently fish tank is best option - if you dont care so much, you can safely sell it as well.

I actually overbought seeds this summer lmao D; on the first day I still had like 98 blueberries and 100 or so hops left.... had to spend so many days planting and making sprinklers... a nightmare. I just knew that hops and blueberries sell for A LOT. (gonna be using the kegs this time too)

Put the legendary ones into a Fish Tank and Put Cave fishes which are difficult to get such as Lava Fish, in a pond. They give high value ROE

you can fish lava fish on top of the volcano, but yeah I agree with the lava fish pod.

Lava eels make for the most profitable roe, no two ways about it. No other mine fish, indeed no other fish at all, can match it. It can be worthwhile to consider other fish though, if you're not just looking for money.
