I thought of doing this, but it kinda scares me. Since most of the "randomness" in this game is actually generated from save seed (if you use a certain tool you can calculate when to open a omni-geode to get a prismatic shard, or learn the inventory of all future traveling carts, trash can loot, your winter star gift giver and their gift etc.) and if i learn that i will get the quest in a far future i'll probably quit altogether. I might do this if i manage to build the golden clock and still haven't got the quests.
I was wondering if there's another way other than waiting for RNGesus's graces. Like mods or restart spam.
I got Danger in the deep the first day of the year 5, 3 years later after i unlocked the walnut room. By the time i unlocked it, i had everything including golden clock.
Danger in the deep was an astonishing mission, new monsters, new environments, new ore and new recipes, but I couldn't give a single ♥♥♥♥ about anything it provided because i already had everything. Why do i need Heavy tapper when i have hundreds of resins and syrups? Why do i need Deluxe speed-gro when i have 1000+ ancient fruits crops? Why do i need Magic bait since i already have every single fish and can mass produce them in my ponds? They should've put this mission on like a sticky note somewhere in walnut room and you should be able to start it whenever you want. Waiting for it to appear completely ruined the entire mission because i just used staircases, get enough radioactive ores and didn't return ever.
Also i haven't got the skull cavern invasion, which AFAIK introduces new monsters too, but i don't even care, i'm completely done with this game until it gets another update.
Now that would have been very nice.
I like this game but I really hate how so much of the content is time-gated or luck-gated.
Create a backup before doing any save editing, just in case.
