Any real benefit to the resort?
Like... I know there's 1 recipe I can buy there if Gus ever shows up. But the fact that important NPCs just seem to randomly disappear when I need them doesn't do it for me. I tried to buy seeds yesterday, replant, then head to the desert to trade my jade in for staircases... Both Pam and Pierre were gone. :/ Like I know it's not super likely to happen but the resort just seems more disruptive than useful... I know you can "close" the resort, but I just wish shopkeepers like Robin and Pierre wouldn't randomly disappear when you need them.

Like, I'm okay with being a slavedriver and shutting down the resort. I just didn't know if there was any real reason to keep it open, other than "it's cute and fun".

Alternatively... Does the resort operate on any schedule? Like Pam goes every 3rd Wednesday, or something?

Pierre leaves a box in the counter that you can buy things from. Dunno about Robin or Pam though.

Robin leaves a box as well. I haven't thought about if their visits are somehow fixed. It seems random but maybe it isn't o.o

Pretty sure the only benefit is the recipe from Gus, and the store owners leave a magic box that sells you stuff, don’t know how Pam works since I have the desert obelisk. But you can still close the resort, don’t know if it’s a toggle or you have to close it for each day.

Do the bachelors ever even visit the resort? I've literally only seen the girls, the moms, and the dads. Kent at least didn't wear a swimsuit... not sure about Pierre.

Haven't seen Sam, Alex, Elliot, etc. at the beach. I want to see Alex in a speedo. :/

Yeah the bachelors visit the resort as well. I have seen Seb there many times along with Alex, Elliott, Sam and Harvey. Seb was a bit surprising seeing how he doesn't seem to like the sun.

Doesn't it also unlock the passage to Pirate Cove? I mean as if having to build the resort itself first, so i guess that follows.

Yeah, realistically that's why you unlock the resort. The resort itself is virtually worthless (if not a hindrance) but you need to unlock it to access the Cove. There are at least ten golden walnuts in that area so at least you get half your expense back, and they do count for Qi's door.
