Mod Request: Marry Caroline

Think I've seen two Caroline marriage mods, one on Nexus (a Buxom Caroline - bit lewd I think) and vaguely recall one over on the chucklefish forums maybe. Both are older though and doubt had any new updates recently so probably wouldn't work anymore anyway.

As someone who when playing for the first time saw Caroline and wanted her to be my SDV significant other only for my soul to be crushed to find out she was not an option... I support this request.

As far as I'm aware there are only two mods up on Nexus that will allow you to marry Caroline, one is outdated and not working in 1.5 and the other doesn't have Caroline implemented quite yet. Another thing to take into account is that both mods contain some rather lewd/NSFW material.

The first mod being one someone mentioned before, Buxom Caroline. As you might imagine this one focuses solely on Caroline and is supposed to make her a marriage option for the player, but sadly the mod is outdated and is currently not working with the latest major update. The author of the mod did post earlier this month that they are still planning to continue updating their mods, including Buxom Caroline and a handful of others that are in a similar vein (they have one for Jodi as well for example). As for the mod itself it replaces the majority of Caroline's dialogue with really lewd and raunchy dialogue (to the point that I find it quite off putting and just kind of silly to be honest) as well as altering some of Caroline, Pierre and I think maybe one of Abi's heart events. As an above poster mentioned it definitely leans more towards the being lewd for lewd's sake rather than trying to make a "reasonable/realistic" little story or anything to that effect. The mod also replaces Caroline's portrait and sprite with much more endowed versions to say the least. You can enable and disable both the portrait and sprites though and use the default or your own other modded versions of Caroline's portraits and sprites. The author did also include a small handful of options of their own as well; Caroline being fully in the nude or in a more lingerie/swim suite getup for example. (Just adding some opinion again, but I'm glad the author included the option to enable and disable the new portraits and sprites because I found them rather off putting. The mod by default has Caroline stomping around nude and her *comically* large melons on display... it just looked so out of place to me. No shade towards anyone who might like the sound of or enjoy that; just my opinion of course). As of right now you can download the mod and experience most of Caroline's raunchy and suggestive dialogue as well as seeing the altered heart events up to 8 hearts, but the fun comes to a stop at 8 hearts. As of the latest major update something in the mod broke and you are no longer able to gift Caroline the bouquet or mermaid pendant. As mentioned before the author did say they were planning on updating the mod to be compatible with 1.5, so it may be worth keeping an eye should you not be dissuaded by any of the above.

Another mod on Nexus by the name of Xtardew Valley is planning on making Jodi, Caroline and Robin as well as some additional Stardew Valley Expanded characters I'm not super familiar with available for dating and marriage. At the moment though the mod only has content pertaining to the basegame female characters as well as Olivia, Sophia and Claire from Stardew Valley Expanded. Similar to the before mentioned Buxom Caroline mod, Xtardew Valley also contains NSFW content... more so than the standalone Caroline one from what I would say. Where as Buxom Caroline just editted Caroline's dialogue and gave you the option of having some risque sprites, Xtardew has animated scenes of the player character and the various ladies of the town going at it. I'd say Xtardew does have a leg up on Buxom Caroline simply due to the scope of the mod and hopefully soon allowing you to romance and marry just about any of the female characters in the game that you'd like. Another thing I like is that the added heart events and dialogue are approached in a more story telling sort of manner rather than being straight up lewdness like that of the standalone Caroline mod. So even if you're not interested in seeing some rather basic, and somewhat silly animations of the SDV character sprites going at it (but hey again no judgement here... you do you!) I'd still say there's something for you to enjoy here. As of now I'm keeping an eye on this one because despite not being overly interested in the depicted NSFW content of the mod, it seems like the best option at the moment of one day getting to romance Caroline, as well as the bonus option of the various other currently unavailable characters.

Don't worry I read it all, I'll check the xtardew mod, sounds interesting but I don't think it's going to be what Im looking for
