I have done Expanded before. I liked it but it adds a LOT of stuff. It's a bit overwhelming at first. If you feel like vanilla has too much to do then Expanded will totally overwhelm you. There is so much more to do and explore. I loved it. The new npc's, the Deep Woods, was totally worth it. You really should try it. You will have to get SMAPI in order to mod SDV.

You should also get some mods to go with it to help you. I get the Automate mod, Skip Fishing mod (arthritis), Seasonal Outfits (just for fun), and there is one that changes the look of the game to a more flowery look. I can't remember the name. But Nexus shows pics with the mod descriptions so you wouldn't find it hard to find. It's a very popular one.

There are other mods that you might like to go with Expanded. Check out Nexus, it's a really good site. There are a LOT of mods there, take your time and read about them before choosing. I usually list what mods sound best to me and check the others out. Oh there is one about more info but again I forget the name. You'll see it though. Have fun, mods give a whole knew perspective to SDV. They are great.

I'd say save it for a 2nd playthrough.

I'd second saving it for a second playthrough. Vanilla has a lot to do, with even more being added in 1.5 to wrap your head around. I started a new file for 1.5 and plan on modding things in after I finish this playthrough.

Minor mods to consider though, UI Info Suite is a nice little addon that just puts a bunch of information at your fingertips so you don't have to constantly consult the wiki (if you have been). There are a lot of aesthetic mods as well if you want to freshen up the look of the game at some point. Stardew's art style is lovely but it's nice to mix it up occasionally.

Longevity is also a nice expansion mod that compliments the Expanded mod very well from what I have it, it is a little more involved to mod in and I would again suggest finishing a playthrough before adding it in because it does do some major overhauls in area (and is a little involved to put in your game as well).

I recommend playing SDV pure for the first playthrough, but either way heck yea SDV Expanded IS amazing! I use it along with Ridgeside Village, and East Scarpe.

Yeah but the thing is I am in no rush to complete SV so it make be a while but thinking about it I like it in vanilla I will just keep it that way. When I get bored of it I will download mods

Take your time. One of the great things about this game is that there is no need to rush anything! I got the game last year myself and I am glad that I did my first playthrough without any mods what so ever. The game was only at 1.4 back then, with 1.5 there is even more content to explore. The first playthrough is where you learn how everything works and you also get to know the valley so to speak. And I can promise you there will be something new on your next playthrough that you didn't notice/discovered on your first. The expansion mod is a great addition after your first playthrough. It is really well made and adds a lot of content and when the time comes make sure that you pay extra attention to the mods needed for the expansion mod to work properly.

Complete the most out of the vanilla game. Try out mods after that
