Question about new 1.5 content (Spoilers)
So with the new farm on ginger island, do we need to either choose to stay at or original farm or start a new one on ginger island? It seems impossible to run two at once, but im pretty new so I could be missing something

thank you!

I never new the older versions and havent unlock the island yet but I guess you can run both by teleporting with totems and knowing how long yoir crops need to grow.

no one forces you to tend to two farms. You can choose not to utilize the Island farm. If you choose to not use evergrowing crops and travel by boat, sure, it can become time consuming. I personally don't think it's much work at all, for example I set the entire farmspace up with sprinklers and ancient fruit, have Obelisks/Scepter for fast travel, and once a week I harvest the fruit and done, it's not high maintenance at all.

Thank you, I think I need to get the obelisks and the scepter. That makes sense!

NP, but I guess the scepter isn't really needed since the farm can be upgraded with it's own obelisk back to farm for walnuts. Scepter is pretty nice in general though.

Automation is a pretty big factor. If you have 4 sheds full of kegs, you can refill them once per week; but if you have 1 beer shed, 1 wine shed, and 1 preserve jar shed, that'll be like... 5 times in 1 week you need to refill something. Animals? Autograbbers and autofeeders. Crops? Plant ancient fruit, cranberries, or long growth crops like melons; filling your farm with rapid crops like parsnips will keep you busier. Focus on regrowing crops, and have your Junimos harvest them. (Junimo hut is bought from the Wizard.)

And by endgame, warp totems should be pretty easy, even if you can't afford the obelisks. Have a coral fish pond for beach totems if you need them, and save all your non-flower honey from the beginning of each season, before the flowers finish growing, to create warp totems. Iron's plentiful, but I personally never found a use for mountain warp totems.

Finally, don't forget speed boosts. Coffee/espresso is an easy boost, and can be stacked with foods like spicy eel if you have enough. The horse is also a 30%(?) speed boost.

Also, remember that there's a bed at both places... Do all your chores in Pelican Town, THEN go to Ginger Island in the afternoon, THEN go to bed on Ginger Island. Wake up, do your chores on Ginger Island, THEN return to Pelican Town in the afternoon.
