When does Gus visit the Island?

For the 'All Recipes' achievement I only need the Tropical Curry, which is sold by Gus on Ginger Island. Problem is, he never seems to visit the island at all, been waiting for about a full in game year now and still nothing.

Is there some sort of guaranteed day he'll be there because this just feels like I am wasting time waiting for this one recipe to be available.

I find it highly unlikely that he hasn't gone for an entire year of it being available. I imagine the odds are something like 1 in 8 (30 citizens divided by 4 individuals randomly chosen) that any particular Stardew Valley citizen will head to Ginger island when conditions are suitable (not raining).

I find villagers are more likely to visit the island when it rains on the main land. Try making it rain on days when Gus has nothing specific on his schedule.

No, it's random

according to the internet blade made a map predictor that did resort visitors back in february of 2023. but I can't see a way to use it, now.
