Time passes more quickly now?

So, I finally got around to fixing Willy's Boat and exploring the volcano mine area on Ginger Island (it's the only part of the island I can explore at the moment lol). Before I know it, it's like 12 AM and I barely scratched the surface of the volcano mine because I spent most of my time just fighting the fireball monsters that kept coming at me. Does anyone else feel like time just somehow sped up on them? I leave for Willy's before 8 AM and I think by 10 AM I'm in the volcano mine...but I barely get anywhere inside the mine...

Enemies that get pushed back a lot are a huge pointless time waster. It's not that time passes more quickly, it's just that the game forces you to waste a lot of it just waiting. I try to gather a few of them just so I can kill them all at once, and then I only bother trying to kill them if I have a strong enough weapon.

You can unlock fast travel on the island and also a farm so you can sleep on site with golden nuts.

How fast/far you go through the volcano mines (as well as the other mines) is largely dependant on how much damage you can deal. Once you have a weapon that can 2/3 shot everything you will be flying through there. But the random layout of the Volcano mine can also greatly affect how quickly you get through.

Once you get the infinity weapons it starts to get really easy to get through the volcano in no time. When you're still fighting with a galaxy sword, then it's not that surprising, that you need quite some time to fight monster.

The screenshot feature helps quite a bit, assuming you can alt-tab and open the pic without stopping SDV.

Ignoring monsters helps, as do bombs. Just soak the damage, eat, and keep moving.

Unlock the shortcut at the dwarf. You can reliably run half the dungeon and bail to collect much-needed star shards. Once you've upgraded your equipment (or bought/made farm totems) you don't have to worry as much.

You really only need to run the entire dungeon once, after which the thing you want at the end - trying to avoid spoilers - is accessible from the volcano entrance.

just bring a bunch of crab cakes. the plus 1 speed is a lifesaver. with it you can outrun most things
