Recycling machines disappear

So i placed some crab pots at the ocean and placed recycling machines near them, but random days later, some of the machines disappear, just gone, is it a bug or am i missing something? Sorry if my english is bad, i'm not a native speaker

Was this on the beach, outside your farm? If the recycling machines were in the way of an npc they were most likely destroyed. That is what usually happens when you place object in the path where an npc is supposed to walk.

Ohh, i think you're right. I think i'll move pots and machines to the mountain lake. Thanks!

I have had many things destroyed by frustrated npcs, lol! A good tip is to try and study where everyone usually goes and so on. The mountain lake sounds like a good spot. Linus, Demetrius and Seb usually walk around there a bit, but never outside of the mine entrance or the east side I think.

This is a bit frustrating, but funny too, ahaha. Thanks for the tip, i'm almost done with the first year, going to start giving gifts for npcs, learn where they usually go and stuff

"If a villager walks through the square where a crafted item was placed, the item will be destroyed. Below are player-created maps to indicate which tiles on the map are safe from villager-pathing. The tiles with the Rotten Plant should be safe."

Keep in mind that the beach and lake/river have different fish in them. If you want shrimp or lobster, for example, you'll need to put the crab pots at the beach.
