I got this weird owl statue is it normal?

So on my first year i was clearing a forest and i found this little guy just sitting there so i put him in my base

It's a random event. You may have noticed an owl hooting when you went to bed one night at some point before finding it. There are a handful of other random events that can also occur when the player goes to sleep, each with an accompanying sound or brief cutscene.

i found an owl statue in the forest when i was getting wood after i woke up, i have my sound off so i dont know if an owl hooted before i found it or not
