I didnt even get warned about this
So today i started new save because of 1.1, i thought that i should try fishing ( even thought i hate it ) and now for first time in my life i was able to catch a eel.... i placed a chest near the fisher mans house so i could store all of my fish there that i fished at the beach but when he came out of his house and the chest was on his way apparently, that ♥♥♥♥♥♥ just straight walked thru it and broke the chest causing my eel and 7 other fishes to disappear into void ;_;

Obstructions are destroyed by NPCs on route. Careful where you place them. Put them in a non NPC route

if i put my chest or fence or whatever in a spot where npcs dont normally walk, but for example in event / festival there would be npc or someone, will the chest just disappear for the event or permamently?

Some tough love by Willy. Be careful where you place items outside the farm. If you need to palce a chest on the dock, do it on the right side of the Willy's shop.

The festivals are run off different map data - I don't think it'll even load the chest.

And if you want to see the paths as defined ingame:

Not all of the paths present in your image are in there, so I need to find out where that data is stored.

I'm not sure what you mean... kinda phrased it weird.

The image I posted was some guy that placed jack-o-lanterns on every inch of the beach, then waited a year and checked back. The NPCs destroyed everything in their path.

Are you saying the game has changed, or that both maps are inaccurate? Because I do notice some differences...

Those paths are taken directly from the beach map data - I'm not sure why there are differences, maybe there's more data somewhere that I missed.
