Chicken questions

I only have two white chickens. I'm married to Shane. I would like a blue and a brown chicken. Do I have to keep buying chickens to try and get them? I read that I could get a void egg from the pig cart, does she also sell brown or blue eggs? (Thanks)

Put a brown egg into the egg machine inside the coop. You'll get a brown chicken. Blue chickens are random.

If you keep buying chickens from marnie you'll get a blue and brown one sooner or later. I think blue is 20%? And Brown/white is like 50/50?

I don't think there's specifically blue eggs, though, but brown=brown chickens.

Void eggs are sold by travelling cart every now and then and from Krobus every day (5k)
White: Bought from marnie anytime (random if white or brown, either that or every other)
Brown: same as white
Blue:1/4 after marrying shane

Brown eggs are from brown chikckens (im pretty sure)

You only need to get the cut-scene from Shane's 8-heart event. After that each chicken you purchase from Marnie has a 1/4 chance of being blue

Well, personally I prefer void chicken coz void egg and void mayonaise has higher price, while blue chicken drop regular egg and purely for appearance.

When you buy the little chicks from Marnie, are they all yellow? Even the ones that end up brown or blue?

I might have answered my own question. I bought two more from Marnie and one chick is brown and one yellow. No blue. :(

You dont have to buy them. Even white eggs you incubate might hatch blue. And the chicks will be blue at birth so if it matters to you, sell any chicks but the blue ones and keep hatching em.

Sadly-ish, eggs FROM blue chickens can still hatch yellow/white or even brown chicks, as well as blue.
