Legendary fish? (possible spoiler im not sure)

I have caught a legendary angler fish and was wondering if i can fish another one of the same species. To be specific its an angler fish with a silver star rating, it would't really make sense if you can only catch it one time given the fact it has a star quality rating like other fish lol. Hope you can catch it multiple times but i tried repeatedly in the same area i caught it originally and nothing other than salmon. Love this game so far and i think the fishing is whats hooked me pun intended and if i do have to be careful of what fish im selling i sincerely hope i dont sell a legendary.

I should add if they're not limited to only 1 are they once per year sort of thing? So 1 year you might get a bronze of said legendary and next year luck permitting you get something better? Sorry im still fairly new so these might be frowned upon questions

The original legendary fish can only be caught once per save file (or once per player in multiplayer). Assuming you caught Angler, that's one of them. The quality is applied the same way as any other fish and is more or less irrelevant if keeping it as a trophy (affects sell price, XP from catching it, and healing effect).

There is a second set of legendary fish that can be caught any number of times but only while the related quest is active. These ones are mostly named as if they're related to the original legendary fish (e.g., Ms. Angler).

Also be careful not to accidentally cook it (generally happens when people store it in a fridge). But, worst case, you can always use the item spawner mod to replace a unique item if something happens.

Stick it in a fish tank and display it in your home.
