My fish want a PerryWinkle witch is not possable for me to get... Does it change at some point, do I try to get it? What do I do?

Ok! I have three and have alot in other worlds and have never cought one though? Are they rare?

It's around 21% chance as long as your crab pot is in a "freshwater" location (so nearly everywhere except the Beach). Mariner profession bumps it to 33% so it isn't rare at all.

I'll just add that, at least before update 1.5, the farm ponds tend to produce a LOT of trash in crab pots (not always a bad thing, but it's not what you're looking for). While I have no numbers to back this up, I'd suggest using the town river (my fav spot is by the bridge to the beach).

Also, if you're getting desperate for periwinkle, make a few more crab pots to increase your chances.
