Imo time mod goes well if you're only planning for decorating stuff or idk doing some niche farm and if you got plenty of additional map area.
edit: typos
I used that mod a little because I felt like the events and other stuff were a bit "forced". I mean maybe I don't like attending to that event. I was feeling forced to attend.
But now I don't want to use it anymore because it bores me. I don't know what to do.
While it's true that the day cycle is relatively quick, my theory is that it's done that way on purpose. In other words, this game tries to deviate from the normal cycle by saying 'the day is over, and THAT'S FINE'. The main storyline/feeling the game tries to get across right off the bat is that you're supposed to relax and enjoy yourself - there are no penalties (aside from playing the game longer) for not getting things done that day.
There's another reason for this too that's a bit more concrete. There's a few mechanics and items that work on multi-YEAR cycles. So by using that mod, you run the risk of slowing the game down enough where you potentially finish/burn out before you even see some of the content the game offers later.
If you're set on mods, I'd be happy to recommend some non-immersion breaking ones, but IMO that time mod wouldn't be one of them.
Kinda meh, but that's the one mod that I absolutely want to use; if only for my gameplay style and what I want out of the game.
While I still think that the current system works the best for this game and the message it tries to get across, your idea def is my favorite farming mechanic style. Games like Littlewood use that to great effect!
