How to remove tackle from a fishing rod on mobile?

It’s rather humiliating, but I honestly have no idea how to do it. Or remove bait, for that matter.

At least as recently as two years ago, it couldn't be done on mobile except by equipping a different kind of bait/tackle. I can't find any indication that this has been changed since, though ConcernedApe is apparently aware of it according to a brief conversation posted here: https://www.reddit.com/r/StardewValley/comments/9yrvrz/for_those_who_cant_remove_bait_from_fishing_rods/

There is currently no known way on iOS to remove bait from a rod.

I have no clue on how to do it on any device, including the one I play on... Still hasn't been added, i guess.
