Copper Bars Automatically Crafted Into Iron Bars

Hi everyone, I'm a new player so please forgive me if this is a dumb question. I've looked around and didn't find an answer.

I've installed a furnace to melt copper ores into copper bars, along the way I learned the transmute (fe) recipe which will craft 3 copper bars into an iron bar. My problem is whenever I have 3 copper bars in my backpack, it automatically gets crafted into iron bar via the transmute (fe) recipe, as a result I never have more than 5 copper bars in my backpack and I need 10 to build my silo. One user on reddit suggested this may be a bug, but I've logged in and out of the games 3 times and no change. Can a recipe be "turned off"? Please advise. Thanks so much!

Uh... That's definitely not supposed to happen. You didn't mess with any mods, did you?

Try verifying the game's files. Right-click SV in your Steam library, go to "Properties", and somewhere in there is the option to verify the integrity of the game cache, or something like that. It should reset the game to "factory conditions" while not harming your save data.

Hi, I haven't installed any mods (or know how to being a super newbie heh). I've tried verifying the game but it didn't work. I then logged off again, restarted my computer and it's working fine now. Not sure what was the issue but I'm glad it's working now. Thanks so much for your reply!

I would say verify your files but also you only need 5 copper bars for a silo and robin can only build one at a time so even if you meant you wanted to build two, at least you could still build one in the meantime since you said it lets you have at least 5 at a time.
