Anyone else thinks Willy's quests are ridiculous?
So I wanted to pick ur minds about it to see if it's just me. He always seems to want regular but still least spawning freakin' fish in the particular spot so 9/10 times I run out of time and fail. That includes both small quest from Pierre's board and big ones from Lewis's board.

Example 1: small quest catch 3 squids. Started fishing at 6 pm first day since they spawn only at night, managed to catch 0 while fishing until 1.30 am and passed out on the way home :/ tried next day and caught 1, wouldn't matter if it were 3 though as by the time it was midnight and I couldn't talk to him anymore.

Example 2: big quest catch 10 flounder. Started fishing around 10.30 am first day as I picked the quest around 10 am. Next 4 days all I did was fishing after bare bones, necessary morning farm chores so around 9.30/10 am - 8 pm fishing everyday. Caught my 6th flounder of the final day 7.50 pm ...

Am I doing something wrong here? I found Willy quite likeable initially but now I'm starting to develop unreasonable hate toward him and just want to stuff a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ pufferfish up his a$$ everytime I see him or his quest on the board.

I generally don't have too much trouble with them, but when I do fail a quest, it's almost always a fishing one. Bait helps immensely. Wild bait is even better if you have the recipe and ingredients; I try to always use it when I'm fishing for a quest. It also helps to cast as far as you can because it decreases the odds of catching trash and increases the odds of hooking rare fish. But sometimes the RNG just isn't in your favor either way.

The only ones I have issues with are for rain fish. Other than that I don't normally have much issue

Yeah, rain fish quests are a bit difficult. The others are ok. Use bait and bobber thingies and plan your day so that you get a lot of time to go fishing.

the key is to keep a little bit of everything around. I ignore the quests that have me finding something I don't already have.

Unfortunately, that doesn't work for Special Orders. The fish need to be caught after the quest is accepted.

oh the big board, yea, i just ignore those most of the time, it's just not worth it

Those quests unlock items and stuff though. It's at least worth doing each of them once, imo. The Help Wanted quests just give tiny amounts of gold and friendship points.

I honestly don't pay much attention to the help wanted quests anymore. They are nice if you haven't got anything better to do but I am more invested in the big board quests. Willy offers 2 quests on that board and the rewards are quite nice. :brownchicken:
