Why is Kent the only character in war?
If you choose your gender as man, why aren't you in war? And there's many men in Stardew Vallet who aren't in war, why? :espresso:

But that's quite big coincidence...

well its just a game. it doesnt have to be 100% accurate. in the end it isnt more than just flavour text to make kent more interesting of a character. if i were you i wouldnt read too much into anything in game.

Maybe they are sending their products for soldiers in war .

There was a lottery draft and Kent won

Thank you! I wanted a normal and obvious reason.

For people who don't get it, this treath is a joke.

I don't imagine having fun in a town full of mentally disturbed war veterans.
I guess that's just me though.
Did he sign on or was it a draft? I always forget the expansive Kent lore

To play along: perhaps others who also went were just already home; He was a POW.

Some countries have compulsory service for young adults, some do not.

My recollection is that Concerned Ape (the developer of the game) is a U.S. native. While we do have a compulsory registration (for males, 18-25) there is no compulsory service. It is likely (in my opinion) that military service in the SDV world is at least loosely based on the U.S. Hence it isn't terribly strange that only one person went off to war.

Also, it's a game, an abstraction. A single "veteran" was apparently considered sufficient by CA.

Honestly I don't think it's ever specified

Why would my character want to go to war and get shot at when he can go live on a farm, date half the town, and become a millionaire?

It's also a game with a half technology advanced and half fantasy world. Maybe the dude just pissed off the wizard and was under a spell that trapped him in a vivid dream of being sent to war. Maybe he was sent to another dimension to fight in a war. Who knows with this universe.
