(Spoilers) Secret fishing spots in v1.5

I've noticed that you can fish out rare stuff (Mostly cosmetics) in certain spots. They usually appear in a form of a wrapped present. Here's what I've discovered so far, not sure if all are from the current update.




1. Fountain north of Pelican Town (Decorative Trash Can)
2. Secret woods (Wall Decor)
3. The small pool outside the Spa (Picture)
4. South part of Desert (Wall Decor)
5. South of Forest Sewer Entrance (Statue)
6. Inside Lava on top of Volcano Dungeon (Picture)
7. Behind Willy's shop where you ride the boat (Wall Decor)
8. Ginger Island, near the cave entrance which is above the Mushroom cave where you can only access through Volcano Dungeon. (Doll)
9. Frog cave (Hat)
10. SE Corner of Pirates Cove (Statue)

Would like to know if anything else is out there!

The secret fishing spot SW of the Beach Farm gives a painting of a rowboat.

I wonder how many of these are unique items? The decorative trash can, for example, can be gotten from the furniture catalog I believe...

Where can you fish 'south of the forest sewer entrance'? Even a max cast won't land in the water.

You can also fish in one of the tide pools west of the farm on Ginger Island. I believe I got the Gourmand Statue from it.

You need really high Fishing level to reach. I believe it was at least 14 or 15. Can be achieved by...


"Master" Enchanted Iridium Rod + Seafoam Pudding (Fishing+4)
or
Seafoam Pudding made with "Qi Seasoning"

Also not totally sure but you may need to fulfill the Trash Bear's request so he cleans up the surroundings.

I can confirm that to fish south of the sewer you need to finish Trash Panda's quest, have Fishing Skill 10 + use a Master fishing rod + eat (regular) Seafoam Pudding. This gives you a total fishing skill of 15. Even then, it took me several casts to hit the water. Got the item the first time, though.

Not sure if you can bypass the Master fishing rod if you make Seafoam Pudding with Qi Seasoning.

Yeah, fishing 15 required, however you reach it (I just did it with Qi-Seasoned Seafoam Pudding). I think there is one spot you can stand before Trash Panda changes the landscape down there; he definitely adds spaces in that area. Someone else might be able to confirm.

I'm now curious if there are other places you can only reach with fishing skill of 15 or 16...
