Late game cheesing
Anyone else feel like late game combat could become better, as in more than bomb and food spam mostly? At this point, so much ancient fruit wine farming, money is not a problem, so it is so easy to just "buy" your way through the combat.

All combat could be much better, really.

The bombing isn't really about combat, it's just a requirement because you need to get very deep to get to the rewards. In Skull Caverns, you don't want to fight at all.

Yeah. Bombing is mainly for passing through the levels. But it is also so easy to mine up rock items with it as well (not that it is needed at this point).

Just consume crab cake and coffee, and bomb it away. And left click spam kill. Lol. I've been working on finalizing the build by forging ring and sword, but I don't think it will really matter much, long as you have a galaxy sword and some shoe.

Yeah I have a build of desperado/Critical chance 6 on weapon, and 2 mixed rings with critical chance/attack plus 10%/Vampire ring, and soon Vampric on the sword. I can one shot enemies fairly quickly with my current build(still have maybe 1 monster who I have to keep spamming attack on) However I still need food as the vampire ring only gives a very small amount of health - I'm hoping that vampric will counter balance that depending on it health regen and also depending on how often it unleashes.

How do you like using desperado? Does it compare well to the other perks?
I actually enjoyed using a dagger, for a bit. I got the trident off from fishing, and it was one of my best weapons until I got the obsidian edge, mostly thanks to its relatively high speed and even its extra weight to keep enemies away. It's of course bad at defending from multiple angles, a fairly common position in which the weapon would be most needed, but it was good if I were careful and dealt better damage than my other weapons, as I could attack quicker. Also I kinda prefer the idea of using daggers to a big sword for some silly reason.
Of course now I have the galaxy sword which does more damage and has more speed than its corresponding dagger so why would I ever even bother.

I wouldn't recommend Vampiric, dude. I thought it'd be cool at first because I was under the impression it was a small amount of life regained on hit but it's only a CHANCE at an amount of life regained on kill. And it doesn't seem to proc all that often.

I'd honestly recommend a dual weapon set-up. I personally use an Infinity Blade that's reforged for full crit AND has Crusader on it whenever I deal with Undead/Shadows and an Infinity Gavel that's reforged twice for swing speed and once for crit that has Artful on it. That's my go to weapon for everything else and I can clear absolute HOUSE with it.

I agree the faster the weapon speed the better chance of one of those hits 1 shotting(or at least doing a lot of damage) I don't have the infinity blade, I'm using the dwarf sword until I get it, but when I do I'll be combining it with another weapon for visual.

Well I'm using the vampire ring with crit chance combo so that I can get health regen no matter what, Using vampiric should just add in on top it(depending on the amount It gives me) That way I can make use of vampiric on a weapon build.

Dual Weapon set-up sounds very interesting, I may look into that.

Dual Weapon just gave me a great idea, I can use my vampiric build as a secondary option later on for healing when fighting monsters that don't all come after you at once, I'll need to do some testing on it, but yeah Thanks for that.

No worries. With enchanting the game honestly opened up a LOT of possibilities for us to take in terms of taking on enemies. I'm eager to see if more will be added on top of that for further experimentation and fun.

Vampire Ring definitely sounds nice to have as a Combined Ring. I myself use the Iridium Band + Burglar's Ring and Slime Charmer's Ring + Ring of Yoba. Having complete immunity from one enemy type is definitely a nice thing to have given how slimes are basically EVERYWHERE. Probably could switch the Ring of Yoba out for either Phoenix Ring or Ring of Protection, though.

So with Scout + Desperado + 2x 10% crit chance rings, critical hit occurs on average 6-8 hit, which is 14-16%. By math, I don't think this is worth it. It is not like there is boss-like massive HP mob anyway to make full use of the crit damage in the first place.

On the other hand, you can do Fighter + Brute + 2x (Ruby + Iridium Band) rings, you would actually get more stats out of it and have good consistent damage. Worth.

Now you could say, how about with additional attack speed stat? Well, this game have pretty good knockback for even without additional stat imbued. So it is unnecessary, and you wouldn't be procing all that speed to attack.

The consistency is a terribly underestimated bonus.
