Multiplayer Connection Trouble

Hi there, has anyone got bad lag while playing multiplayer online recently ? im playing with my friend, and both of us have average internet connection. We can play other online games fine, but not with stardew :(

The only difference between Stardew Valley and other games that you have in mind is the fact that you're both not connecting to an online "server", so to speak, the person hosting the farm is the "server". It's either a firewall, both of your internet, or something else that's interrupting the connection. Some things that I can think of is to try to play when your internet traffic in your area is not busy and see if there's any difference for a start.

I've also seen other's suggesting to use Hamachi, but good luck.
