adding music
Found some 8-bit music I want to add, especially for the jukeboxes. How do I load ‘em?

Tried, but couldn’t find it in the Protoss Nexus…
Yes, I was being funny, but I’m also gave a seriously sincere answer for when I last checked & such…

Well, there is a way. You need to use some sort of tool to access the game's files to mess with all the sounds. Simplifies to just finding the file you want to replace, make the file you want to replace it with is in the right format, replace file, try it out in the game. Cheers with your endeavors.

Hmm . . . not interested in replacing, but adding. For example, I could select < youtu.be/ojUpC56d_Xc > in one of the Jukeboxes every morning and . . .

If you have SMAPI, this mod can do it: https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/3043

There's a way to add in unique song IDs but based off personal testing, it doesn't work really well (sometimes the custom music doesn't work when selected in the jukebox and to have it appear in the jukebox in the first place you'll need it to appear somewhere in game). So you'll want to replace songs instead. There's a spreadsheet on the page that lists song IDs and you can just replace songs that are a one time use.

Another mod, https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/425 but once again, based off personal testing doesn't work half the time and doesn't actually add songs in game so they won't appear in the jukebox.

Thanks! its not the Right answer, but its still a Useful one!
I personally believe keeping this topic open until the Right answer comes should suffice for now . . .

I need a reliable way to make more music in the game... It kind of sucks pretty bad to be sitting for several minutes in silence broken only by the hum of my computer fans. And then, a song starts playing... Right before you transition screens and....its gone!
