Doesn't enchant properly

I'm losing 7th prismatic shard to the enchant for the fishing rod (I want to get the Master enchantment (+1 to fishing)), but I get only efficient and auto-hook. When I restart the day I still get same enchanting for all things all the time...
Question: is it possible to somehow reliably enchant an item with the desired effect?

You can't save scum like that. What you can do is try enchanting, if its not what you want you can reload that save, not try that day and try again the next. That or get more shards and keep trying.

yea i would imagine the rolls are predetermined when you start the day, so waiting like you say it probably the best option or grinding more if you feel thats the best way.

certain ones are rare im guessing, as it took a ton (didnt count, but maybe 30-50 times or more in a row) of enchanting over and over to get that master fishing one and a few of the others, but i used cbj item spawner for the stuff to roll the enchantments and cbj cheat menu to freeze time, did the same for forging and combing rings.

im also guessing that they may be predetermined each day so you cant save scum them (not sure, just guessing as someone mentioned it here), best bet is to either buy a crap ton of the gem/shard things and the prismatic shards (or use cbj item spawner) and enchant away till you get the one you want.

one thing that bothers me, is why cant the scythe get anything, cant forge or enchant it, heck it doesnt even have an iridium level...

I think that scythe is useless since 2nd-3rd year (atleast for me) because I have almost every crop i have to sell for achievement and hay is the thing I only buy at winter :p
