Community cleanup bug
Linus tells you to get 20 pieces of trash and deposit them in the recycling bin behind the train station. Joja cola counts towards the total, and it is labled "trash" but you cannot put it in the trash bin.

Ape pls fix

Ty (I like recycling my trash into useful stuff)

why would you?
its tasty, and i find it enough in the can next to joja that i dont need to give them money :)

it actually ticks the "acquire trash" counter up. i experienced the same thing, with a joja cola being the last trash item i fished up according to the "catch trash" counter.

I wonder if Buying a joja cola in the saloon counts?

This is incorrect. It does tick up the counter. However it cannot, at least for me, be put into the bin.

It ticked up for me and my wife when it was fished, and when I got it out of a trash can.

So either the "trash" tag is incorrect in game, or it should be applied to this quest to. I'm sure its because its also a drink that its not getting the tag applied correctly or something funky is happening in this regard.

Sounds more like "up for debate" since here it didn't count for the quest either. Can't remember if I had the time to do this task before 1.5.1 went live, but I'm pretty sure Joja Cola didn't move the counter at all.

Maybe it was intended from the start for it to count for this quest but didn't before and 1.5.1 fixed it for half the quest (though there's no mention of it in the patch notes, but it may be an oversight).

This could be it. My point is to raise it since it is defined as "trash", and one of two scenarios should occur realistically:

Joja doesn't tick up the total and can't go in the bin. Maybe the quest should specify recyclable trash. (though I get the intent, since Joja sucks)
Joja does tick up the total, and can go in the bin. It is labelled as trash, but it can't go in the recycling machine in players homes.

i'd like to vote for "does count, can go in the bin, and can be recycled"

i'd totally take a little bit of sugar from a joja cola.
