as far as i can tell beach is slightly worse than the ocean, but still worthwhile if all you're after is getting your bundle fish. being able to immediately fish without having to worry about transit to/from (or having to deal with totems) was worthwhile enough for me, personally.
both farm maps are great for crab pots. river farm more than beach farm, admittedly. beach farm has the advantage of having the most buildable space of any of the farm maps.
if you want to fish explicitly for profit, you probably want to be heading to the mountain lake anyway.
Haven't seen a map of the fishing zones for the Beach yet, but I tried fishing in that spot and got a whole bunch of trash. I think the entire Beach farm is super polluted.
in my experience best place on the beach farm to fish is off of the east coast, on the south end. there's a couple stones jutting into the water next to one of the aquatic trees. that little spot has had adequate results for me.
again, not as good as the riverlands map: the beach map is flagged as a "foraging and fishing" map, so it's distinctly not as good at either as the forest and river maps, but it does have both, and it is definitely better for fishing than any farm map other than the river map. plus the sprinkler tradeoff for more building space.
